2022 RECAP: FUNDERS AND INITIATIVES

Ball Brothers Foundation

Ball Brothers Foundation has been an outstanding supporter and ongoing champion of Madjax. Their funding in 2022 has increased operational capacity to expand the Design & Fabrication Lab, purchase new equipment for membership spaces, and support programming. They have supported implementation of workshops including Rain Barrel Making, Intro to Adaptive Technology, Maker Mondays, Puppy Publications, and Canine Creations.

City of Muncie ARP & U.S. Economic Development Administration

Funds awarded to Madjax by the City of Muncie ARP Nonprofit Grant and to Purdue Polytechnic by the U.S. Economic Development Alliance STEM Pipeline Development Award have supported the first and second cohorts of the Educator Maker in Residence Fellowship. Workshops including Tech Career Camp, Robobusters Family STEM Camp, Snowflake Ornament Making, and DIY Family Board games have been led by professional K-12 educators.

Indiana Arts Commission

Funds from the Indiana Arts Commission have supported direct programming for youth, families and older adults. Maker-led workshops including Lifelong Arts Storytelling Pottery and Family Woodworking have provided opportunities for inter-generational skill-building and connection.

Stanley Black & Decker

Madjax was named one of 86 organizations selected for the inaugural Makers Grant. This award provided a donation of tools and equipment for our upcoming Design & Fabrication Lab expansion.
